Looks good. Looks stock. Does he know you installed those? If not, might make a good video of him starting her up!
We liked and wanted to keep the shotgun look. Only visual difference is the rolled edges on the Tabs. Oh he knows, he wanted loud, we'll see. He's boltin out of work and on the way!
I have Tab 2-1 w/Zombies on my Sport Glide. LOVE it. I hope he does too!
He was just by and we fired her up. Almost 2 different sounds at once. Has a low end rumble tone with bop bop bop sound as well. Hard to explain. They are loud. Not a bad sounding loud. This M8 is a totally different animal as compared to my '14 Heritage with big shot staggered exhaust. Raining today. Need to get her out and open em up. They are gonna bark! We like em!

Yeah, it is definitely a different kind of rumble. It's funny, because they don't sound loud when I am riding, unless I jump on it. But when my wife rides behind me, she says they are really loud. Heh. Loud pipes save lives.
Looks good. You're a fortunate man to be able to share a common interest like riding with your son. Mine never took to bikes, though once upon a time he rode behind me. I'm only half disappointed that he doesn't ride.
I put Tabs on my '18 with stock pipes, went with the billet twisted end caps and without the stock black heat shields. They sounded good, but slightly raspy. Sound improved after a few hundred miles once the baffle material loosened up a bit. Since then I've installed a SE torque cam. Now they sound great and I love the way the bike runs.
