Default Seat Choices

Greetings Everyone!

I just upgraded from an XG750 to a FLHCS 114 here about 4 months ago and am in the process of getting the new bike all situated for long rides. After one longer ride (about 300 miles round trip), I determined the stock seat has to go. As such, I'm researching between the Harley Hammock and the Mustang Wide Tripper. Anyone have experience with either? I had a Mustang on my 750 and liked it, but am certainly not wedded to it.

Forgive me if someone else has asked this as my Google-fu skills have failed me.

Thanks!

I tried the Mustang and the Hammock at the HD dealership. My wife and I both preferred the Hammock. I had a Hammock on my Limited before and wanted to try it. I now have the HD deluxe. The Hammock was good for us, but we are all built different.

Appreciate it!

How's the change in the seat height? 5'9", so anything taller than stock is less than desirable.

Little change in seating position. A flatter more comfortable seat for me. Narrow in front, so you should be OK.

Plus 1 for the Mustang
No seat is perfect but the Mustang is way better than stock in my opinion

Thumbs up 5k miles with Mustang Wide Tripper Seat

I immediately changed from the OE the seat on my 2019 Low Rider when I bought it about a year ago. After trying different seats (not easy), I went with the Mustang Wide Tripper. Noticed the improved quality of the seat pan and seat fabric out of the box. It has been a great choice. The extra width in the butt area and narrow nose are the best of both worlds. My only suggestion is that if I frequently did long trips, I would buy the Wide Tripper with the driver seat removable backrest. Personally, I think the backrest is kinda ugly, but on a long stretch, it would be a plus, and it can be removed when not on long trips.
