Default Thought modern Harleys don't leak oil? Think again!

And here I was thinking oil leaks on relatively new bikes went out with Shovelheads

Looks like the base of the pushrod tubes is leaking

No. I check it regularly but haven't needed to add any since it got its first service at the Dealer. There is no sign on the engine itself above the base of the pushrod tubes and it appears to be leaking there. The level in the oil tank is about halfway up the dipstick.
There is some oil coming from the filter because I thought t was a K&M one (SE Stage 1) and oiled it. That oil is pink, and the oil below the pushrod tubes is not. Still now that I've cleaned it all way I'll see if it comes back and where. The breathers are clean as a whistle.

If it keeps leaking I'll be taking it up with the dealer at the next service, but ultimately I'll be putting an external breather on it when the warranty runs out.

My Evo fxr leaked from the tappet block so I tighten it down a hair (light crack on each bolt) and it stopped leaking.

The title to your post was a bit dramatic, don`t you think?

Just because your bike may have developed a leak does not mean new Harleys leak.

It`s an isolated case, any machine that uses fluid can leak. It happens.

The dealer will take care of it.

I'd say pink oil is still going to appear black on the engine case, it's not paint.
That oil dripped from your air filter is my guess. Think about a new air filter.
