I am thinking about removing my stock baffles on my lrs and installing DK custom torque inserts. After I cut the pinch weld will the baffles pull out Easy? Asking as I have read that the cat is in the stock muffler’s. Thinking about going with this to tie me over until I do stage 1 or 2 in the future. Any input on this mode pro or con would be appreciated.
When I had my 2019 low rider, I used a dremel and cut behind the pinch weld. The baffle and packing came out relatively easy, just gotta work it outta there.
I smoothed out the cut part with a grinding wheel, and painted the inside of the can black with high heat paint.
I did leave the cats in the muffler, they are pretty firmly mounted in there separately from the baffles. Then put the TTI-258 in there.
To me it made a deep hollow sound kind of, but it’s pretty loud. I liked it . Didn’t notice any loss of power or anything. Just cost the price of the torque inserts😄

cool , thanks. I just wanted to make sure the cats are not going to give me trouble. Looking at dk custom’s chart I was going with the 258 (3 inch and up diameter) thanks for confirming that also. Great 👍.
