Intake valve guides are leaking on both cylinders and they are replacing the whole top end on the bike under warranty. I jokingly told them "If you're replacing the whole top end see if they will upgrade it to the 114!"

So, another week without the bike.
How does that even happen? Dang, sorry for your troubles!

They were pretty baffled when I told them how much oil my bike was consuming. Originally they didn't believe me. But HD Corp told them to take it apart and see what they find. And, that's what they found.
Uncle G is right. I have a spot marked on the floor of my garage where I......
thought this was gonna involve your ol' lady for a minute there.
High engine and oil temperatures evaporate more oil and the reduced viscosity increases oil blow-by. The consumption amounts you guys are describing are to be expected.
now has me wondering about the tranny and primary....do those need to be topped too?
I just need to be sure to make room in my saddlebags for a few quarts of oil when I go on long trips
that is one reason I liked SYN3 - could find anywhere you're touring nearly so no need to pack it. But for what they charge for it now, no way (too bad)

There is a rubber valve seal on each valve stem. When they are installed, they slide down over the valve stem. If not properly done, usually with a protective sleeve, the keeper ring groove in the valve stem can damage the seal causing it to leak.
I've owned quite a few scoots over the years. The M8 is not what everyone claims. Use the manual as a point of refernce when it comes to fluids.
Have to wonder what else they say. 'approximately'. Key word with the MANUAL.
I know this about my '19 FLFBS. 4 1/2 qts.. Now ask yourself why I'm throwing this out there.
4 1/2 qts puts it halfway cold fill as the manual says, hot check 40 miles later want another 1/2 qt but only really another 1/4, which put the cold check next mornin back at 'full', not half way.
You tell me how to proceed.

Reason: revised
My 2019 Low Rider oil level was not consistent, I would check it one day and it would change the next, under similar riding and idling B/4 check circumstances.
My 2020 Low Rider S is very consistent so I don't check it very often. I think the new M8 oil pump has a lot to do with keeping oil out of the crankcase.
