2020 low rider S ohlins
Going to be doing full ohlins on my bike this winter, just trying to figure out how far I want to take it. Option one is just do the drop in cartridges, with rear ohlins shock
option two -full road and track front end with triple trees etc.
option three - full road and track front forks triple tree and swimgarm and raise the bike 2 inches
Lets hear your opinions
Up front, the Ohlins NIX cartridges work really well.

Just tossing my 2cents in, but Im not sure you would gain much past a FKS-508 kit on this bike....at that point youd have an inverted front end with full Ohlins internals (nothing stock is left inside the forks after the FKS-508 kit is installed)
As others have stated, there are other mono shocks which have longer travel over the Ohlins HD5xx series, including Fox, JRI and Progressive. Although I have an Ohlins HD506 on mine just to have matching brand components, I do think other options may perform better.
As for front end cartridge options, GP Suspension also makes a highly regarded kit as well. Ohlins Nix30 FKS-508 is a 30mm kit vs GP Suspension which is 25mm.....whether youll feel the difference or not, Ohlins has the largest diameter drop in cartridge kit to my knowledge for these bikes.
As for improvement over stock, having full Ohlins front and rear on my bike, there is an improvement; however, unlike others on the internet state, I will not say its a day and night new bike feel. I have had multiple Harleys in the past and have upgraded the suspensions on all, Ive never noticed a blow my mind day and night difference, ever. Clearly improved over stock, yes absolutely, but I do feel peoples reactions for suspension improvements are sometimes placebo effects above a certain point. Especially when 95% of most riders probably never push a cruiser bike to their limits, so why spend thousands of dollars on a full track set up unless you plan to do some seriously aggressive riding and have the riding skills to fully take advantage of the suspension investment and capabilities.
