I installed an S&S 465C torque cam chest kit a several months back in my 2020 Low Rider; runs awesome, especially in the cruising RPMs where I tend to roll on the throttle to pass vice downshifting. I am also regularly dusting my buddy in his stock 114 road king.

An added benefit with the whole cam chest kit is replacing the stock oil pump. Living in SOCAL it gets HOT in the summer time and the bike normally ran 315 - 325 engine temp range by the time I was getting off the highway on the way to the house, and then it would continue to heat up while idling at stop lights. With the new S&S pump I am getting off the highway at 285 - 295 and the bike will actually cool down to about 275 and stay there while idling.

The biggest con for me is the aggressive lope kind of mismatched the lower transmission gears so slow cruising down the neighborhood street I either have to run 1st gear at higher RPM (super loud with V&H big shots) or ride the clutch in 2nd gear so I didn't end up speeding by the kids and blowing out the windows. I use an FP3; calling V&H helped with downloading a better map to make that a little more tolerable. After riding it for a couple of months I have pretty much figured out just where I can ride the throttle without being on the clutch all the time, but it can be a little touchy. Just so you know it will have some affect on low speed cruising.

Well I don’t have that cam, but when I did start the bike it seem like the lope was just as quick as the original of course it hasn’t warmed up yet. In the 2020 Street Bob supposedly it has the screaming Eagle or the higher flow oil pump so I hope there’s no issue there. I’m definitely hoping It’s not terrible at slower speeds. I was actually hoping slower speeds and throttle response would be better.

I have the same setup except big shots. V&H provided with their map, lope is not so agressive, bike run "even" from start to top end. Really need to get used for 1st and 2nd slow speed.

You are going to really like that 465C in the 107 and the S7S oil pump will server you well. And often over looked cam because many only look at he top HP numbers. And miss the big picture. Yes get that tune right and it will do better for you.. I used a Power vision map from Fuel moto it was flash and go worked prefect from the time it was started.

I am torn apart on Stage 2 upgrade for my 2019 Heritage 114”. I briefly spoke with FuelMoto and they told me with VH Eliminator pipes I am leaving about 10-15ftlb of torque on the table by not choosing 2in1 exhaust (D&D recommended). Well that sucks as I like my Eliminator 300 mufflers and not looking to spend another 700-1000$ on top of cost for Stage 2. Fount local kid that is certified HD mechanic that offered to do Stage 2 upgrade for 300$ but looks like FuelMoto can get this done for 400$ in labor so I would rather go with reputable shop. Dont know what to do really.

Just got reply from FM folks and yes labor for install is 450$ but also tune is 450$ so 900$ total.

Local HD dealer quoted me 850$ for labor only no tune.

FuelMoto does what they do, and they're very good at it, and they don't (apparently) like to vary from their proven formula. If what they recommend isn't what you want, then that doesn't necessarily mean what you want is bad, it's just that it's not what they do.

If you really want to use the exhaust you want, then FuelMoto isn't the shop for you. There are many excellent builders, and you may find a builder who has found success with the type of configuration you're preferring.

I decided to go with FuelMoto for my upgrade to stage 2. Just waiting to finalize last questions. Since I have these Eliminators 300 with quiet baffle I think I will go with recommended woods 22X cam rather than 22XE as I ride in lower rpm range more often 2000-3000rpm so I am definitely looking for this low end power and from what I gathered 22XE will kick in a bit later. I guess I might leave some of the power on the table but this is what was recommended so I trust their opinion.

Still considering 3 options for exhaust:

1. My current VH Eliminators with quiet baffles

2. 2in1 Reinhardt - not big fan of the look but I guess this exhaust would allow squeez more power and torque

3. Fishtails 36” Samson or whatever else. Not sure what this exhaust will offer in case of performance but I really like the look of this exhaust and since I will pull the trigger I thought I should probably do it once and be done with it.

ps I an also thinking about installing touring bags on my Heritage so I need exhaust that will allow this to happen. Not sure I can do that with this 2in1 Reinhardts but I know fishtails will work with that.

decisions decisions - please feel free to comment
