I have a 2019 Deluxe and I think you should have your head examined. I completely love mine. I added all the comforts/touring of the Heritage.
Although I do appreciate "looking at the next bike" hobby, I have to agree with DikTish... I took my Deluxe and added cruise control, bags, windshield, crash bars, etc. So its a great bike for trips and camping as well as bopping around the back hills and farm roads.
...but I've always liked the looks of the RoadKing... Hmmmm?
I agree with Parrothead, lusting after another bike is fun. I have a 2019 FLSB with a little over 17,000 miles on the clock and every time I start looking at other softail models I remind myself that trading one softail for another is kind of like a duck flying east for the winter. The Deluxe is a good looking bike.

Thats another bike I have been looking at (RKS) but honestly, I think for my use... and size, the deluxe is better for me.
So far on my deluxe I have added low profile saddleman seat, iron bags, engine guard, and DK Ac with external breather, and grips. With that set up .... I can ride a good distance/day... but a windshield would probabky help a lot.

Yep I agree ... but what's alluring about another new bike when the current bike meets your needs? I don't do this with cars ... I drive the wheels off of them. Drove my F150 for 20yrs @275k miles. Still I find myself stalking other bikes tho lol
If you are in California and want stage 2 I would not buy a 2021 bike. Look for a 2020.
Well if I was doing a 21 ... it would be an harley stage 2 at outset and under warranty.. but yea, i doubt you would find a 20 in my area at dealers right now.

But regardless, I have decided to keep my deluxe
Right, my point is that dealers don't have tuning yet for 21's and from what I have read they are not sure when, or even if, they will offer stage kits for the 21's in California. Could just be internet rumors, but I have read it from at least 3 different sources.

Wow thats crazy if true. To release the new bikes without the ability to tune them themselves... and not be able to sell their stage kits is insane...

I do regret not trying more bikes before settling on my Deluxe. It's my first HD and first "large" cruiser and I didn't want to take on more bike then I could handle (esp relative to weight). The Softail frame and overall size seemed to fit me well and that's what I went with. At some point, I'm going to test ride a RK and probably just tease myself. In the mean time, the Deluxe is still a kick in the pants to ride, nimble and turns heads everywhere I go.
You can check out the pics from my I Pulled the Trigger thread when I bought it. The only updates since those pics are (1) I removed the luggage rack for the HD Tour Pack (that I can add when needed) and (2) My JES Fangs that I'm hoping to get out and test this weekend. I also added the cruise control (as mentioned earlier), but that really doesn't change the look of the bike - just another button under my left thumb.
