I have known about the Harley / EPA agreement for several years , like I stated in my post I signed a waiver concerning the warranty . My question is has this Harley / EPA agreement been made public in it's entirety ? We know according to Harley and their spokesman they paid a fine and agreed not to sell , alter or install their own non-EPA compliant tuners . Was part of this agreement that new owners warranty would be voided ? And what part of the warranty ? Just the power train warranty voided ? I have read several Attorney's opinions on line that Harley has and is using this so-called EPA agreement to void any part or item on new motorcycles , even where the modifications had nothing to with a part failure and even factory direct failures . Always follow the money ! Should a customer like myself have to pay out of pocket because the float is defective in the fuel tank ? Was that in the so-called EPA/ Harley agreement . It also states in my owners manual that any modification can and will void the warranty . I will give an extreme example , Harley is no longer making good quality wheels in Australia for several years now , wheels being made in China for lower production costs . Remember a few years back China was caught not using virgin alloys but scrap alloys in the automobile wheels. There were several failures which caused some accidents here in the US . Should my China made wheel fail within the two year warranty period does the Harley / EPA so-called agreement instruct Harley to not cover the wheel under the warranty ? If all the above is true I will not complain or say a word to Harley , I will just quietly go away and give my future business to one of Harley's competitors . So the bottom line question is Harley using this agreement to just save money by voiding every possible part on their motorcycle ? If my broken fuel gauge problem is not covered I will just pay , I gambled and lost but I will not ever come back to Harley as I 'am sure many other members on this form might do the same in the future .
