I think with the risers I installed on my factory Hollywood bars actually gives me more pull back and the same height than the reach handlebars . I need a more narrow bar for short arm length and ease of turning at slow speeds . The Chizeled bars are only 27.5" tip to tip but with those I would be replacing everything including the brake line . I thought the Mini Apes might work but they have a tip to tip of 35.0" . Now theses are bars from Harley's 2019 catalog that will fit my bike . Any other ideas for a handle bar that would have the shorter tip to tip without the height would be appreciated . Thanks
Ohhh I see. Yeah I haven't explored too much of the narrower bars, I'm sure there's a lot out there, hard part looking outside Harley is finding them cut for TBW. But yeah if the main need is narrower bars, the Reach's "felt" more narrow, but looking at the dimensions that may not be the case. Interesting. I bought my current (and favorite bars) from Biltwell Well, they've got a few TBW bars and they're made for more of a chopper style bike so they may have some narrower bars. Happy hunting!

I tried the "reach" bars on my '19 Heritage, but didn't feel they brought the bars close enough for my taste. I settled on the stock handlebars from the '18 FXLR Low Rider. Yes, they're fairly wide, at 32" but they have considerably for pullback, and more angle to the grips, bringing them closer to the rider to allow a more upright riding posture. The pullback also brings the wrists and elbows closer to the body, making the bars feel narrower than they measure. I'm very happy with them.

Yes it seems all the reach bars are just about the same width tip to tip and with the riser kit I installed on the Hollywood bars my pull back is closer than with the reach bars . I'am thinking now to get the tip to tip width I want will need to go with the Chizeled handlebar which to me does not look right on a Softail . On my 883 Iron yes . Bars to wide and slow turns more difficult , bars to narrow unable to turn quick enough . Long verse short arms ect.... You almost need to put a set of bars on and ride it , however with the wires through the handlebars what a pain in the **** with all the hours involved .
