I'll post below the picture of the H-D offered solo rack, now discontinued, at first they said it would be detachable, even had pictures of it being detachable, then it wasn't when released!
A decent sized flat rack, however certainly not detachable or removable that quicky, requires tools, it also sits very close to the rear fender and needs to be removed to remove the seat, so for instance if you want to adjust the suspension on a Deluxe or Heritage, which you may well want to if a carrying luggage it has to come off!
And to just top it all it was never a good fit with the bolt holes not lining up very well on the two we have!

We tried a few solutions with the Motherwell solo rack and for long runs now using the H-D bags that are made to go over a sissy bar, is to use a quickly detachable sissy bar, slot the bag over it and strap it down on the Motherwell rack or even solo seat if fitted, with the bag giving a bit of back support too. The Bag will sit lower down on the Motherwell rack than a pillion pad and when you get to a destination and running about without the bag, you can also remove the sissy bar, which takes seconds!
