Ah, good to know. Yeah the touring models you can get to that valve with the tank in place.

I haven’t figured out how to hold the tank up with one hand and fish blindly under the tank to unplug the connector with the other hand. Also, there’s a vent line that has to be unplugged. I can see it but I can’t reach it.

Might need a extra set of hands to hold it up, then you can get down and look under it better.

Well, that’s a problem then.

Try loosening up the front tank bolt, remove the rear tank bolt. Then lift the rear part of the tank high enough to place a small piece of 2X4 under the rear part of the tank to hold it up. Disconnect the connector and hoses.
Remove the 2X4, remove the front tank bolt and take the tank off.
Hopes this helps.

I used a scrap piece of 2x4 to hold the rear of the tank up. Also, don't forget that electrical connector under there.

That is how I was going to hold the rear of the tank with. So I can disconnect the pump connector.

I used an empty water bottle to hold up the rear of the tank while disconnecting the vent and fuel pump connector on my 2018 Sport Glide. Worked like a charm!

No way the dealer did all the things the manual says I got to do . Has anyone on here taken yours off and didn't find it hard ?
