Today I installed catch can and hooked up AC and crank case vent to it really curious how much junk will come out from it as I was venting to atmosphere till now but got oil mist all over my rear of the bike. It this doesnt work I will go back to stock set up and whatever.

Those look like some pretty tiny lines for that engine to breathe through. That wouldn’t be related to your base gasket leak in your other thread, would it?

That sure looks like a air/water seperator for an air compressor to me with the filter missing. Where is it venting? Can't just hookup the lines, it's gotta breathe! Lines look way too small as well.

At what level do you keep your oil?

The narrowest part of the line is same size as diameter of the s&s canal for venting but I have to admit you make me thinking now as you might be right maybe I should bump up the line diameter as at some point both of these lines go to a T so maybe in fact I created restriction on the flow at the junction somehow as this would explain my gasket leak if pressure is too much. Crankcase vent is just extra so I am not that concerned about it. I run 3/4 oil normally now I do 1/2 even.

one line comes from AC heads and other from crankcase and these are connected other OUT line just go under the frame to atmosphere. There is in line one way valve so oil/air just go out one way as it should. Do you see issue with what I did? I am trying this so any input is welcome.

So here is a picture of stock breather outlet and narrowest part of my hoses. Looks same to me only thing is I have 2 lines coming into one junction but even with that I would expect flow woudnt be restricted enough to blow my cylinder base gasket. Am I wrong? Internal diameter of this hose is 3x diameter of this stock vent hole. Just because thickness of the wall is thinner this doesn’t affect flow if I would put thicker wall hose. As far as I know 1/4 inner diameter is standard hose to be used in these systems. Everyone just put thick wall hose on.

I can respect where everyone goes with the vent/catch can.
My two cents: Oil burn is minimum today. Run a decent fuel additive that burns/cleans the carbon away, entire fuel system.

Look what I just discovered. During my Stage 2 upgrade breather line was completely squeezed at at least 1/2” length. This rear jug was not breathing at all. Now I also noticed seepage at the head as well. No freaking surprise I have leaking cylinder base gasket. They choked my rear cylinder to death. Wonder what could happen to this cylinder if it coudnt breath. I did about 300 miles total. What a shame.
