Just talked to FuelMoto. The black cerakote is difficult to keep from being scratched up. Trying to decide how the raw will look on the crimson color
My bet dollars too donuts, just fine after a few heat cycles they should have a nice golden/redish hue too them. My stockers do that you can see through the holes in the heat shields.
I think I’m sold on the stainless. When I spoke to FM yesterday they feel confident they will have a tuner by early fall.
Now the only decision left is do I void the Warranty?
Warranties are made to be voided!
I say go for it, once I decide on a color, my warranty will be gone!
warranties are meant to be voided, maybe so. But wise men wait were fools rush in meaning throw a set of used slip on’s on and beat it for some miles. If everything checks out f- the warranty. No way in hell could I do 2 years with a Harley that sounds like something George jetson would ride! I seen a nice set of slash cuts in the parts section for sale, LOL.

Exactly what he said. I listed to the extended warranty sales pitch and was laughing the whole time......riding it like I stole it for two years with nothing but dead bugs stuck in the oil cooler, time for some upgrades!
Love the raw look, its going to look even better after some good heat cycles.
I do believe that buying a Harley Davidson is luck of the draw, with the odds favoring the buyer. I have owned 4 Harley’s that were problem free. With just the Bassani with the dk torque insert and power vision map at high rpm first thru six this m8 is nasty right out of the box! Can’t wait to do the cam this winter!
I've been thinking about the DK Torque Inserts. I have their Outlaw AC and it's been a fantastic performer. When I installed V&H Short Shots on my 2020 Slim, I did seem to lose some low-end rpms, which DK says may be from loss of back pressure, which the inserts take care of, they claim.
