Yes they definitely help. I have Elite Mototech levers on three of my bikes.

I didnt read thru the whole posting so not sure if anyone already mentioned this. I threw one of these in my old dyna fatbob when I messed up my hand for a while, made a big difference. Easy install provided your exhaust isnt in front of the trans clutch release cover. Lot less money than new levers too.

I only had the bike another couple K miles though, not sure on lifelong durability/wear of it.
