Default New Heritage Classic 114

Recently I decided it was finally time to upgrade from my old 1997 Fatboy. There's something I love about Evo's, but I never was completely happy with how my bike handled, especially on turns. Every time I'd rent or take a spin on a friend's newer HD, I'd find myself enjoying corners much more and feeling like overall it just "flowed" more than mine.

So today I went in to a nearby dealer to test drive a used 2020 FLHCS. It had quite a few more scuffs in the paint and bags than I expected...which isn't that big of a deal to me, but you never know what that stuff says about how the PO treated the bike overall.

After a few conversations with the manager he offered me such a good deal on a brand new model that it wouldn't have made sense to buy the used bike, so the 2021 is what I rode home. First time I've ever bought a new/non-used motorcycle.

Pretty psyched about it. What a difference in handling (and power, obviously). I fully expect to be obsessed with exploring exhaust and seat options for the next while as well as riding the hell out of this thing as much as possible.

Congrats. You won't regret it. It's an amazing bike, and the 114 is a real cherry on top.

Almost 12k miles on my '20 Heritage 114. Love the power, handling and versatility (hour long joyrides, weeklong New England tour). In terms of improvements, I now have front and rear engine/saddlebag guards, highway pegs, laydown license plate, HD windshield bag, and most importantly, Custom Dynamics LED lighting front and rear creating fantastic visibility. I find the stock seat to be very comfortable and see no need to change it - you may want to give yours a chance before buying a new one. Exhaust is stock - may change it after the original warranty expires. Ride safe.

I can't get over how nice my 2021 FLHC handles. Yeah I still like the looks of 2017 and earlier better, but there is no comparison in performance. Great choice.

Congratulations! I picked up a 2019 FLHCS about two months ago and it is a really nice bike.

Congratulations! Just returned home from a fabulous spirited day's riding the somewhat narrower backroads and single tracks of the U.K's rural landscapes; there is virtually nowhere the Heritage Classic feels out of its depth or out of place, a truly exceptional machine, it never gets itself tied in a knot. After nearly 5000 miles I end each ride still filled with wonderment at just how brilliant this bike is. My previous Harleys were T.C. Road Kings and a Street Glide, this is in a different class handling wise.
