Not sure what a stock hi flow air filter is, but if you want to take full advantage of an actual high flow air filter and slip on exhaust you need a tuner Ive been running an FP-3 tuner for a couples years and it works well. It has a zillion maps you can use,!or you can build your own, or you can manipulate one of theirs, or they will create a custom map for you - all from your cell phone app. Theres also a real time fine-tuning function you can run that records your actual riding/fueling history and adjusts the map accordingly. Works well for me (and a lot of other people.
FP3 is a decent device, but as others have mentioned, the Power Vision is the defacto standard on tuners and if you're going to spend the money, why not get the best?
never heard of a power vision. Ill look into it. Thanks.
Get it from fuel moto. They have decent canned maps for what you are doing right now. If you decide to bump up in cam or CI, then you don't have to buy a new tuner when you get it dynoed.
