Battery Question ????

It does not have a light. It is climate controlled so don't have to worry about the battery freezing.

Taking the battery out of my 2018 Heritage is now only about a 10-minute job, but I've had some practice. Pulling the main fuse seems like a good option.

Agree w/ the popular vote (leave/pull main)...what's the worst scenario - remove battery now, or later if it doesn't fire in a few months.
