Default Battery Question ????

We are moving and sold our house sooner than expected and our new house is not finished yet. We are having to store all our stuff, to include the bikes. I have a climate controlled unit for the bikes. Do you think if I remove the main fuse the battery will stay up for 2 months (it's 3 years old and has always been on a tender)? Taking the battery out of my 18 heritage is a real pain in @$$, so I would rather not do that. I took the battery out of my wife's trike cause its easy. So far the weather has been good, so I have been able to go ride it, but that is going to change soon.
Thanks a lot,
SR

Should be no problem. The battery self discharge rate is slower if the battery is in cool temperatures.

I would at least remove the main fuse to prevent battery drain, a disconnected battery retains its capacity for a long time.

I would certainly think so. And if you did have to boost it always just conect up to big hot cable on starter and don't remove seat.
And personally if a couple of months I would have starting fluid to spray in breather if it didn't fire up right away and then it will.pop to life very quickly! (2008 Twincan on ethenol)
My battery is original on a 2018 and she goes 2 months quite often when gone on ship "but" North Louisiana doesn't get to cold nor stay cold. Have never disconnected anything and or trickle charged and have yet for it to not start right away. My 2008 Twincam is just as good "IF" I store it with high octane non-ethenol as that makes HUGE difference!
Ride Safe✌

You could use your car and a 12v car power inverter to power a battery charger for an hour or two if the bike ends up in storage for longer than you think. Just park outside the storage place and watch youtube videos or surf the internet while your bike is getting a little juice.

Does the storage unit have a light in it? Maybe you could unscrew the bulb and screw in one of those adapters that allows you to plug in an extension cord, then you can keep your battery tender on them them🤷‍♂️

Thats a good suggestion, I thought about that as well but just about every storage facility I've been in has fluorescent tube lighting, maybe the OP will get lucky.
