If you can get one of the jumper cables on the large battery cable connection on the starter and the other on a good solid bare metal ground that should work.
Connect the power cable of your jump pack and or jumper cables to the power wire located on your starter. Its usually covered by a rubber boot. Then put your ground on an engine bolt. Itll work everytime.
Be safe. Hook cables up as above and let the jumper car charge the dead battery for about 15 minutes. Remove the jumpers and fire up the bike unassisted.
