M8 Idle Adjust/Tune
Is there a how-to on adjusting the M8 EFI idle speed? I doubt it's like adjusting on a carbureted bike...right? I have a V&H tuner on it, can I adjust from there or is it a physical adjustment? Thanks.

The M8 is a different animal when it comes to idle and sound. If you’re thinking of lowering idle to make it sound like an Evo, forget about it. Plus, you’re potentially asking for problems.

Idle from the factory on my 20 107 was around 850. Sounded good for what it is. A stock improved map loaded on the bike via Powervision from Fuel Moto had the idle set about 950. Still sounds good with Fullsac 2 baffles, and will purportedly oil better at idle.

Put a Cam in it and it will sound better . HD started out with M8 at 850 but raised it due to charging issues. Was the first service notice on the M8

Call Shayne (562) 921-7461 at V&H. If you have an FP3 Tuner, V&H can custom adjust things for you through your phone and bluetooth connection. My idle is set at 950. Like others have said here, you don't want to go too low with the M8. He also made other adjustments like air fuel ratio and limiter settings. I have 3 of my 5 mapp slots filled with different tunes for various purposes. I basically use just 2, my track tune and cruising tune.
