Do you guys think I will have a problem with the spacing (heat) between my new Viking Saddlebags and the OEM exhaust mufflers. I let the bike run for about 10 minutes and the heat shield didnt get that hot and I could hold my hand on the lower part of the bag. It was warm but not hot. I just wanted to get more opinions. Thanks!
Looks to be about the same clearance as the Sportglide has with the stock plastic saddlebags. If you are concerned you can put some heat reflective material on the bottom of tge panniers themselves. Might not even see it.
It'll be right I imagine, I'd not be carrying dairy products in it mind.
Stick a pint of milk in it and go for a long ride, if it's still drinkable when you get back you know for sure you'll have no bother.
For those that have asked, I did not use the provided turn signal relocation bracket that was provided by Viking Bags. I used the Moons MC taillight with the integrated turn signals. I really like the look.
