Synths like Amsoil absolutely blow away Minerals at pretty much every metric, especially in friction wear and heat resistance.
Perhaps, but it's certainly not necessary in these 2 cylinder low RPM engines, hence my comment about it being a waste of money. There are very few Harley owners that will ever wear out their engines, and even fewer have the knowledge to rebuild. If I had a V-12, 9500-rpm, 819-hp, 6.5-liter Ferrari I would probably use synthetic, but that's a completely different horse.
