Thanks for all the replies. I figured it was something bad, I was just hoping that others might know something I didn't and save me some time and money. To answer some of the questions, yes, I did pull the main fuse before I removed the gas tank to get to the wires. LOL, I pulled the fuse before I even removed the seat. I removed the extensions and plugged the original wires back in, hoping it was a bad extender. Same problem as before, it will not start. I disassembled the right switch housing on the bars, but everything looked like it was still connected. I checked the wires going into the molex connectors at the end of the wires, those appeared fine to me as well. I've decided to bite the bullet and have the dealership diagnose and fix it. I'm afraid of making things even worse than I already have. I joke that I know enough to get me part way through a build, just to screw it all up and need a real mechanic to fix it. These new Harleys are a lot more complicated, but that's just a statement of the obvious. Thanks again for the replies. I'll update once I hear back from the shop so we can all laugh at how badly I messed it up.
Their simple fix would be a new switch module and they are not cheap. The longer fix might be to find hopefully a break in one of the network wires and repairing it.
Electrical Gremlins can be a bear to trace, and if you were riding/stretching wires the issues could be in wires, connectors, or controller. When I did my 09 FLHX bars, the only issue was my horn didn't work & it ended up being easy fix (crack @ wire/connector). Unless you have the time, talent, patience & expertise - throwing in the towel might be best fix. Let us know what dealership finds.
I used the Custom Dynamics 4" extenders, and did everything wrong. I was distracted, and didn't keep track of what went where. the connectors can fit in different females ends, and I found them all. turn signals stopped working, red security light remained on, all kinds of codes blew. with nothing but dumb luck, i managed to get them in the proper holes. I was ready to have the dealer pick up the bike, which would have been quite humiliating. close call, irish luck!

I've found over the years the dealers have seen it all, so nothing to feel "humiliated about".
