Colors that are "popular"? If you had a room full of butt-ugly girls to choose from, the least ugly would be the most "popular". But, that would not mean that she is good looking at all.
All of these "un-colors" have been shoved upon the American public for the last 50 years by the Asian and European auto makers.
It is a sick mentality.
Is it red? No, it is a sort of a red tinted mud, sort of.
Is it blue? If you look at the ash color in the right light, around the edges, it might reflect a kind of blue hue.
Green? Somewhere in the charcoal there is some green pigment.
Beautiful machine? Nah, some sort of bad-*** image machine, the same color as the asphalt and shadows, not easily seen by other death machine drivers coming at you or turning in front of you.

I had to settle for what was on the bike. I did not make the selection of manufacture color for that year and model. If I had, it would be quite different.
