Big day today...
Rolled the bike out for my OH to try and test ride.

The controls are all positioned right for her.
The clutch is fine and she feels in control of the bike albeit she does find the throttle somewhat aggressive.
She took it up the road and around a car park for about an hour or so - she can certainly handle it.
(Bearing in mind she hasn't ridden for several years and has come from a Kawasaki EN500).
The ONLY problem she had was getting it into Neutral - it was being a real bugger!
After some advice, she managed to ride along and get it into neutral then back into first, then neutral again - there's a definite technique to it.
At stationary, no chance (Even I found it difficult) - she had to turn the bike off, flick it into neutral and then restart.
I guess it's going to take some practice.

It's the Oberon levers set at 2, my wife's '22 FXBBS has the same issue. Truthfully though, needing neutral while the bike is running is going to be a very, very rare occasion.

Find one person who has ever ridden a Harley who has NOT had that irritation. Here's the secret: There is no secret. There is no trick. It's just something you have to deal with. I've been riding these bikes for decades and I still fumble sometimes with neutral.

However, it WILL get easier.

Yes the Oberon lever is set at 2.
Her main concern was not going to be able to get into neutral at traffic lights...
and holding the clutch in may put stress on her wrist (she broke it, well more like smashed it, about 2 years ago and has a steel plate in it).

There is a knack to it which comes with practice and time.

Kicking your bike into neutral at a stop is a huge mistake. You don't ever want to be unable to at least try and get out of the way of some idiot cage driver when the time comes. I sympathize with her wrist issue, but she is putting her whole self at risk by putting her bike in neutral especially if she's having to kill it and restart it to do so.

OK, I run the Formula+, it's like 20w50. Just don't want the heavy gear oil.
