Default New Heritage

I was not a fan of my 17 RG it had every new M8 problem imaginable and I traded it for an Indian Challenger. It was a great bike with some glitchy issues but it was a beast. My local Indian dealer has one tech and they are not fun to deal with. Next retirement chapter is my new 21 Heritage 114. Very, very happy for so many reasons. I have a short list of things to change and a long list. Planning on replacing the cast compensator ramps with a real steel one, probably some love jugs although I think they are fugly. Before 10K putting Feuling lifters in it and the S&S oil control valve.
At some point a cam RS468 and who knows what tuner, reading up on a few the PV 4 is as EPA compliant as the SEPST? I still have a PV2 that I might as well sell. So what else guys, I’m pleased with how it runs, but I want no weak links. Done trying to be king of the pack but sometimes it’s nice to pass the guy with a hot rod Harley?

Nice selection. A Heritage will take your cross country or remove her windscreen and bags and she is a beautiful cruiser. That bike is good for 100K miles off the showroom floor. Probably less with engine mods. I vote leave her alone and ride the do-do out of her.

Congrats on the new bike. I have had my ‘19 Heritage for a few years and have been really happy with it. I changed out some things also, to make it a little more mine.

Welcome to the Heritage club! As I have posted countless times on here, my wife needed a more comfortable ride having been on a Sportster for almost 8 years. She ultimately chose a 21 Heritage - purchased new. Soon after, I was looking for more comfort since my 02 Wide Glide was making me tired after about 80 miles. I did a ton of research, two Demo-Days rides and a long weekend rental - each on 21 Heritages. I rode a FB and a RK on the demo rides and after being on the Heritage, the choice was clear. I don't carry a passenger and I do not need or want all the bells & whistles so the "Glides" were not even a consideration for me. Long story short, I chose a used 19 Heritage.

While being the same basic bike, ours are definitely different cosmetically. When we ride and especially at bike rallies and local bike nights, we see ALL types of bikes. Many MANY Street Glides. A few Road Glides. A few older bikes of various flavors. A few 2018+ and many 2017 and older Heritages. It's a mutual respect. And as much fun as it is riding the bike, I get a serious thrill out of my minor mods.

Speaking of, not to be the nay-sayer and bring you down, but as you look for cosmetic parts, you will soon "hit the wall" and realize Harley as well as the aftermarket folks just don't take our bike seriously. The only HD collection that has ALL the accessories is the Willie G line. Great looking stuff but everyone has it. Including my wife. Uggh You can find an aftermarket shifter somewhere, for example, but good luck trying to get a brake pedal to match. It is what it is and I have personally decided to focus my mods in other areas first. Again a great bike off the showroom floor but once you get the custom seat, grips, engine guard, LED signals, and bars, then you're reaching the next level of satisfaction. I call it my 5-year plan.

Enjoy AND SHARE PICS!!

Bone stock, backrest is ordered, louder horn, and some love jugs fans for this summer. After first service, it will get a billet compensator ramp, S&S oil control valve, and some long pre retirement rides.
