I've used Chinese LED lights and other things like that and the quality is generally getting better, but no way would I trust something like a crash bar.

I did have occasion to use my crash bars once, my foot slipped on something greasy on the ground at the gas station and I couldn't hold the bike upright as it went over on the right. Was awfully glad I had a quality U.S. steel crash bar installed (Bung King); absolutely no damage to the bike whatsoever.
These are not Chinese.

I wouldn't have any problem using this. There are plenty of really cheap ones on Amazon, but this looks solid

I wont buy cheap Chinese junk. I get it. And really, my question specifically was asking if anyone has used that specific one that I posted.
Understood and please do not take offense to my response. No disrespect intended. I see so many questions on here wondering "is this a good deal?" and the real danger is you get what you pay for and many honestly are not aware of the risks of using Chinese metal. The better the deal, the more chance there is of being just that.

I almost pulled the trigger on an engine guard with one of those "American in name only companies" two years ago when looking for mine. With the 2018+ Heritage, I became frustrated with the lack of choices. Harley, Lindby and maybe Viking. Luckily I remember someone on here warning about all that, and I dug a little deeper. Same with pipes but that is another painful discussion

Hey man, no offense taken and thanks for your opinion. That's right, you really need to do your homework on a lot of these parts.

Wow. Is that price in dog dollars or something? I got one identical to it for $110 recently and it works fine. So do my cheap rear loop style crash bars for ST saddlebags. Wife dropped the bike in a parking lot shaking it to show off how the alarm worked and they worked as fine as anything. No scratches on the bar, saddlebags, or the bike, nothing bent, and no damage to the wife since nothing got hurt.

Would you have a link to those rear guards?
