Default 107 to 120?

So my local shop says they can bore out my 107 to 120. Everything I've read says 117 is the most you can go. Anybody know if this can be done?

you can get many kits that will make it a 124 or Harley makes a kit for 128

You can go to 120 ci., but you will have to use 114" or 117" cylinders. If you bore the 107" cylinders out to 4.125 bore, that would be 117 ci., the spigot, the part of the sleeve that goes into the case, will be pretty thin. If you take 114" cylinder out to the 4.185 bore necessary for 120 ci., they will still be about .090" thick on the spigot, which will be enough to hold up. You can find 114" M8 cylinders on Ebay, but be aware of the shipping cost. Some sellers tack on quite a bit for shipping.

Yeah I know but it's about $600 cheaper to get my cylinders bored out.

So if the shop you were talking to didn't know that you can't bore a 107' cylinder to 4.185 bore, are you sure you want them to do this work for you? You can ask New Old Rider about letting the wrong shop do an engine build for you. They need to know what they are doing. Little things like not replacing the flange nuts that bolt the heads on can be catastrophic.
