Another instance of a Harley service department making up a BS story to get rid of the rider. As to the smell, I have 3 late model M8's and none of them smell.
Wait til the bike warms up, then throw a few strips of bacon on the exhaust, thatll make it better lol
For real though. The stock a/c wouldn't cause a smell, sounds like a good tech story to get rid of a customer. Just like Texas roadhouse's steaks are smaller in the summer because cows sweat in the heat.
--K&N filters that you use the cleaner and oil on, to me, those chems stink a bit. But once its dry, no more smell.
I got a 23 heritage w/ 3k miles, never had a bad smell. Stale gas when firing it up in the spring sure, but thats gone after a ride. All the fluids in our bikes would never have a "bad" smell in my opinion, especially a newer bike. Pull the oilpan off something thats been sitting outback for a decade, yeah thatll be ripe.
Tire treads, underside fenders, under/inside frame rails, around oil cooler. Maybe you ran over a dogshit and its keeps getting warmed up when you ride. Good luck man
It now has 1100 miles on it. I noticed it when I parked it in the garage after a ride and left the garage door open for my cat's access to the litter box in the garage. Whole house stank.
My new 2023 heritage stock made my garage smell like gas after a ride, thought the place was going to blow...there is a plastic hose from under gas tank going to battery box to ( I guess a smog canister) then exits to atmosphere...at about 1000 miles I lightly blew air in gas tank then back through the canister ...It seemed to be much better after that...I now have 4000 miles on it and it don't smell the garage up any more...no idea if THAT solved it or just coincidence ....
Finally after a 120+ years we have the answer for why harleys are called " hogs". But seriously could it be from either the primary or transmission vent? I know that ive had some really smelly oil come out of them a few times, some worse than others. Just for the record the harleys being called hogs came from a reporter covering the races between Indian and Harley back in the day and he made the comment that "the harleys were hogging all the wins", at least that's the story I heard lol.

Never been two-up.
I think it smells like rotten eggs, but not only.
What you been feeding your cat? Maybe check the litter box to see if the litter needs changing
