Just picked up a 2024 road glide and Im trying to wirelessly connect my iPhone CarPlay to the bike. My Cardo pactalk bold has a microphone and it shows a microphone on the Info screen. But I get no option to go into CarPlay. When I plug my phone in, I get CarPlay. Im just wondering if the Cardo Pactalk bold is just too old the system for me to get Wireless CarPlay. Maybe for some reason with the old system it doesnt pick up the microphone, I dont know.
Has anybody else had this issue? Is anybody using a Cardo Pactalk bold with a microphone and wireless CarPlay.

GrenV,
That's exactly what I discovered (after about 2 hours of arm-wrestling) with my new 2024 Street Glide when I tried to get CarPlay to work with my PackTalk Bold. Despite that fact that the Owner's Manual says that "Apple CarPlay is available wirelessly. Phone will need to be Bluetooth paired and connected. USB connection can also be used.", it appears that it only works with the iPhone (mine is an iPhone 14) connected to the USB C port in the "glove compartment".
I've seen at least one YouTube video that implies that we can get around this issue by only connecting a USB C microphone to that connector, and connecting the iPhone wirelessly, but I haven't done that experiment. I'd be interesting to hear if anyone on the forum as gotten it to work this way.
I went into the settings on my iPhone, into the general tab, and went to CarPlay and turned it on. Im now able to connect wirelessly as long as I have my cardo linked. You can even select and arrange what apps you want to show up.

How is everyone's Packtalk Bold mic working? I've made a few calls and everyone on the other end hates it. My voice is constantly cutting out and sounds like I'm talking into a tin can. They say it sounds like noise cancelling interfering. This is **** I wouldn't expect from a $400 headset. My $100 Sena SMH5 from 2014 sounds perfect to others, can't even tell I'm on the bike.
Both the phone and the headset get paired to the bike. Ive used both Bluetooth and direct wire for my phone to the bike. I typically have it using the wired plug because Im charging my phone at the same time. Make sure you adjust your phone settings like I described above. You also need to make sure that your sound path is set to the headset if you want to hear music through your speakers in your helmet.

Nope. Not too old. My Packtalk Bold works flawlessly
