USB C port won't stream music

USB C port won't stream music
Hello,
2024 Street Glide, when i connect my iPhone 15 pro max to the USB C connector it only charges the phone, i can't stream music from any apps. When connected the connection icon stays grayed out as well. I've used several cords including an Apple cord. Any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated.

do you have a headset synced? if not , it should be saying a message that you need a headset to enable car play (rider). there is a dongle , as mentioned, you can get, or make one. there are a few threads on that. if you go to device manager, click on the phone and try and connect carplay, what does it say?

So I went out and tried to get my phone to stream through the usb port. It will not. I do use blue tooth and stream all my music with different platforms (XM, Itunes, Spotify, Youtube music...) Works fine with Car play or just blue tooth. I also have a flash drive full of mp3's plugged into the usb-c cord and play music from there too.

OK, my bad. I assumed he meant the C icon wasnt lit. He mustve meant the BT or USB icons.
