I'm going to be installing the new chrome lower sliders on my 2024 Road Glide soon. While I have the front end off, I'm thinking of installing a better set of riser bushings. Mine are fine so far (stock bars and risers) but have noticed a bit more movement recently.
For those that have upgraded the bushings, suggestions on which ones to use and your opinion of them. I see that Harley does have a set of polyurethane bushings?
I used the HD ones also when I switched bars and risers. One tip, put some oil or some type of lube on them before you try to put them in the upper fork clamp. Mine were very tight. Hope that helps.
I'm not familiar with the new batwing models but on the Rushmore bikes when replacing riser bushings you sometimes need grind away a little of the fairing to get clearance for 1.25 bars. Doesn't seem to be consistent with all bikes and all 1.25 bars but some have reported having to do this with me being one of them.
