Ancient news here, so look away as necessary. 40 years ago when I ran drag pipes on an evo I could polish that heat discoloration off the pipes near the exhaust ports with Simi-chrome. It worked really well. I still have a tube from 25 years ago when I still played 5 string banjo and needed to polish the nickel plating on all that hardware.
Scorched chrome rear hear shield is bluing. Any idea if this is covered under warranty? Not broken, just discoloring.
My rear shield blued within first 50 miles. You can polish it but it wont look right. The scorched basically gets polished to chrome. I got a new one under warranty and it hasnt happened again.
