Default Questions About the New Style Throttle

I have recently purchased a 2025 Low Rider ST that has the center cooled engine and it also has the same throttle, grips, and probably similar switch housings to the center cooled touring bikes. As I have not removed the handlebars or anything related to them, I was hoping someone who has done so could give me some insight. Basically how much difference is there in the handlebars for the new style throttle and the previous handlebars? It looks to me like the throttle actuation is taking place in the switch housing, so no need for notches in the bar ends as there was previously. So are the internal access holes the same, or is this where there will be a big difference? Any information will be enlightening!

It's black. I have a paint set I'm putting on it, but I had to have the side covers and right saddle bag lid painted to match, I'm picking those up today.

If you have same controls as touring models then yes there are no notches on the throttle side, the skinny part of the bars (over which handle and HCM go) is much longer, to accommodate bigger HCM (hand control module either left or right) and naturally holes for wiring are in different place.

you done with breaking in and let er' rip yet? curious on your opinion of it, pretty stout stock engine and being over 100 lbs lighter than my touring 117 it oughta' satisfy most 'normal' riders I suspect. the monoshock with 4" travel and inverted forks must be awesome too..that bike just might be the ticket to haul *** on right out of the box

If its the same as the touring controls, then the throttle actuator is part of the controls It looks like a donut , that the grip slides into. So there is no splined throttle sleeve. The end of the grips don't have to seat in a spline like the previous bikes.

To expand on Andrea 73's post.... 'Center-cooled' refers specifically to liquid cooled touring bike engines with a single radiator mounted on the frame The previous liquid cooled touring bikes had two radiators, one in each fairing lower and are known as 'Twin-cooled'. This is described in the HD service bulletin in the link below.

https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...54120-0001.pdf

"Introduced in select redesigned 2023 and 2024 CVO and
Touring models. Identified by a single liquid cooled radiator,
centrally located, and having a coolant reservoir located next
to the left frame downtube. This system utilizes an electric
coolant pump
".
