Head set question
Even though both headsets are paired to the Skyline OS for audio (music, navigation, calls), rider-to-passenger communication should be done through Cardo’s intercom feature, not through the bike’s system. The Skyline OS doesn’t provide a built-in rider-passenger intercom function. It relies on your headsets for that feature. Cardo’s DMC is more reliable and higher quality than Bluetooth-only intercoms.
- Put both Packtalk Edge units in DMC mode (or Bluetooth intercom if you prefer).
- Once linked, you’ll have a full-duplex, always-on conversation—no need to press buttons like a walkie-talkie.
- This intercom connection is independent of the Skyline OS, so even if the bike loses power, you can still talk.
If you do not want the always-on intercom, you should be able to press the intercom button on the headset to mute/unmute your microphone. OR, you can switch from DMC mode to Bluetooth, which uses the classic push-to-talk style intercom.

) through the speakers if we're not going too fast. The intercom works good this way. There is a slight delay which is annoying, but you get used to it pretty quick. No PTT needed. Disclaimer, I may not have fooled around with the configuration enough to get it right by going through Skyline OS. We like it they way we use it good enough to not want to try to mess with it again. Hope that helps.
It can also be set up where the driver is connected to Skyline OS and has Nav and music and passenger is connected to their phone via Bluetooth for music, both connected to intercom via DMC.
