I have received a lot of help from Lonewolf on my recent used bike purchase with a TTS tune/tuner. I have used a Power Vision tuner since 2012 as a customer not a professional, and was completely ignorant of how the TTS tuner works. Lonewolf is a very knowledgeable tuner, and very well versed in the TTS tuner. He went out of his way to help me. I consider him a good and knowledgeable resource.
I have also been a FuelMoto customer for years. I have talked with Jamie about a few things over the years, and I find him to be extremely knowledgeable, with tons of experience. He is also very focused on satisfying his customers. I consider Jamie a good and knowledgeable resource.
Why Lonewolf and FuelMoto (Jamie) disagree on this issue is beyond the scope of my knowledge.
I have recently read of issues with both the Impact & Thundermax ECUs in some of the newest ('26?) bikes. I don't doubt those reports, but again, as a novice & nonprofessional tuner, I don't know the conditions causing the issues...
However, back in May of 2025, this very conversation came up in a thread about whether or not Impact ECUs will work with the RDRS on Harley bikes. This thread was on a Harley technical forum.
At that time, Jamie was involved in the thread. It was obvious that he was tuning RDRS bikes with the Impact ECU with success. He also didn't seem to think it was a big issue.
Things may have changed, or maybe not....
So I would suggest that anyone with questions about this should directly contact FuelMoto if they want fresh, and specific information on why they say the Impact ECU works with RDRS.

Maybe it's not a big deal for some, but why not keep the features you've paid for?

Look there is nothing new or fancy about the Impact ECM, it's an open source Speed Density ECM from rusEFI (40+ year old tech) that they have made a package around to plug into the bike and adapted for the HD. The software that tunes it is from another open source ECM called Mega Squirt, thats why it has the MS on the end of the name. Many of you may remember years ago (15+years) people were using Mega Log Viewer to look at the factory data, again nothing new or high tech about it. It's a fine ECM if you do not want all the functions to work properly and go racing with it, but it doesn't have the capability to handle everything the OEM ECM has to do, fact not fiction. They seem to still have engine running issues with them when traveling up and down in altitude or going from higher elevation cool conditions to Hot and dry conditions at lower elevations. These are all things that really do not matter to a racer thats going to be adjust the ECM all the time but a general rider that wants to travel the the country on his Touring bike, it sure as hell does.
