We'll see. I'm still not convinced that my riding style warrants one of these.

Here is photo which shows the front stabilizer on my Sportster. Sure would be nice to see one of those on the Dyna from the factory.

Gary,

You will have to look hard to see it, but you will find there is also one behind your gearbox. So like a Buell, my Glide and Dyna, you also have three stabilizers!

A bone stock rubbermount Sporty is such a weak handling bike, it's no wonder Harley put three stabilizers on the engine. With just two or--heaven forbid--one, it truly would be an accident waiting to happen.

(Of course, the logical solution to me would be to mount the rear swing arm to the frame and not the damn engine/transmission.)

That would introduce a fresh set of problems! There is nothing wrong with the handling qualities of the Buell range, it just needs to be properly transferred to the Harley range.

While they mess around, we have a variety of makers happy to supply a suitable upgrade kit. Buy, fit and enjoy!

I finally felt it. "It" being the problem that the TT is designed to correct.

It was the day I put the Screamin' Eagle muffs on and headed up I26 for a test ride. The entrance ramp onto the Interstate is 2-lane and a long sweeping turn before it merges into the main flow of traffic. I was sitting at the red light in the outside turn lane, which becomes the outside lane of the entrance ramp. A guy in a Toyota Camry was in the inside turn lane. Light turns green, I take off, he takes off. But he stays right beside me. I'm shifting up through the gears rather easy and he's staying right beside me. As the long entrance ramp gets to the point where it merges, the outside lane ends, so I speed up a little. At this point I'm still in 3rd and 45 mph. The jackass speeds up with me. So I nail it. I'm leaned over pretty good going through the turn and putting some serious torque down as I shift into 4th at about 60, and I felt it. Some have described it as the way your bike feels if you're riding with a seriously underinflated rear tire and go into a turn. And that's just what if felt like.

That was about as aggressive as I would ever likely ride my bike, so it's not like this problem is going to be a problem for me. But if the TT can completely eliminate what I felt in that turn, I can see where people who do ride more aggressively than I do would see a benefit.

Oh, the guy in the Camry...let's just say I was a 100 yards up the Interstate before he even knew what had happened.

Gary,

The TrueTrack is for you! Not only will it eliminate that feeling but the bike will feel more taught and responsive all the time, every yard you ride, and you will leave those drivers 200 yards behind without a further thought.

Go do it!

My first new Harley was the FX1200 in your profile picture - that is me sitting on it!

I have felt the rear a little squishy only once so far in the short time I have had the bike. On a long sweeper on a freeway but the road also was grooved. It was no big deal but a little of a surprise. Haven't felt it yet on tight twisties.
I am pretty sure it is an issue, just hasn't been for me yet...
pic of rear tire, most of tread is used...

I push the beast a little, it is raised 1/2" with Progresive 440's, max preload.

BTW, the photo of the crashing Harley on the Tru Track web site is at KillBoy corner on Highway 129; the Dragon. It is not a sweeper and is coming out of a tight right hander and leading into a decreasing radius turn.

Steve, they do make a stabiler for the Dynas.

I am considering getting one next week.

I emailed them about 2 months ago and they did not have one for the Dyna at that time.
(Guess they have one now. )
Got my TT 10 days ago for my 98 WG. I know the feeling, from 3 different Dynas. Gotta see what difference it makes.
