That rear link looks 3x's beefier than the tru trac. They both attach to the swingarm in the same manner, but the alloy art attaches to much more of the tranny than tt. None the less, my fish wiggles have disappeared.
Does that thing completely replace the rear mount?
Guess I need to look at what exists and how that thing fits in.
No, it is additional. In the TrueTrack kit there are new brackets and stabilizer links for both front and rear, which fit close to the existing rubber mounts. They bolt on to existing parts of your bike.
I bought the True-Track on a Sat. with the forum discount. It was delivered the next Tues. It was installed the next weekend. The differance in the ride was well worth the money spent. It seems the bike handles a lot tighter thru the turns. This is a mod that is a must for dyna's....

Thanks but I was referring to the picture of the spider looking thing mud posted.
I got my true track a couple weeks ago but haven't put it on yet. Hoping the weather is good today. Then the debate starts, ride - install - ride - install .....
After looking at the picture again I think I understand its intent better.
man that alloy art sure looks cool...only problem i have with it is the bolts go in the oil pan.....will have to study on that awhile...though i'm sure they have put alot more into it than i ever will and undoubtibly know alot more than i will ever know.....it does look like a nicely engineered piece....too bad i already ordered mine....i ordered the sputhe model.....the alloy art looks easier to install unless it one of those bolts on the oil pan i can't get to....i can if i take the thunderheader and support off..........
The 09 FXDC that I ordered should be here in a few weeks and have been somewhat confused about the instability issue in this thread. Does the wobble or what "it" is occur at reasonable speeds, say less than 50 mph, and riding conservatively? Has anyone experienced it under those conditions or only at hard or aggressive riding? I kept hearing from Dyna riders how comfortable and smooth the ride it which doesn't jive with the instability comments. Now I am a little perplexed. If those who have TT installed say how much a difference it makes, this indicates that the ride without TT is not has smooth as thought.
Also do HD dealers install TT as an aftermarket part or does it have to be installed elsewhere (I wouldn't want to screw it up)?
