Glyd, I can definitely appreciate the humor but I can assure you...I'm not in the same league as your brother. We get an insane amount of pollen flying around during this time of year in SC and trust me, it would make anyone sniffle.

Besides, I'm unemployed. Even if I did have that habit how on earth would I afford it? Certainly not on what SC unemployment is paying.

Thanks Vic for the great mod. Its worked great, and I found the bike to be very stable on the lift even w/o straps. You saved a bunch of us out here a ton of money.

WG78...glad it worked out for you. I do echo your sentiments that the bike does seem more stable, especially if you use the lockdowns. Ya know, the feet you screw down on the jack near the rear wheels. I forget what they're called. lol

To all who have done this and no longer need their lift adapters from H-D, should we have a ceremonial burning? I'll bring the marshmallows.

Nice video, except for the stuffy nose

How quickly does the bike come down when you lower it?

Just bought one of those jack's and the first thing i did was this mod. So simple but yet it's a huge difference, thank's for sharing longhair.

Sorry bout the sniffing. I guess my timing just stinks. I need a director or producer. lol

It's all about pressure. Light pressure, the bike lowers slow. Lead foot, the bike comes down pretty quick.

Has anyone done the mod on this lift? it is very similar to craftsman lift, but has the little round tubing bit ont he outsides of the supports. It looks like the mod could be done as the twin supports are mounted via pin and it has the same center bar which can be cut. Before I run out and buy it I was hoping to see if someone has succeeded or not. It's about 20 less than the craftsman, and I think this one has been sold at Sam's Club and other places.

If you can disconnect those supports inside, I don't see why you can't do it.

Be careful though. I'd rather not feel responsible if you drop your bike off the lift for some reason. This is definitely a 'tread lightly' mod.
