Let me know when you are ready, maybe I will bring my nail gun down if you buy the beer....lol
I don't have space to build a permanent booth. I was actually thinking of using one of those fold-up canopies, and just enclose it. That way I can put it up and take it down by myself...but hey, you're more than welcome to drop by.

Did you cut the bar off that interferes with the jiffy stand?
From the pics, it looks like it's not there.
The only part I cut off was in the middle of the lift pads.

I modified this just a bit.

If you put a 1"x6" (that's what I had laying around) underneath your jiffy stand, it will stand the bike up just a bit and the jiffy stand won't be an issue. I was able to slide the jack underneath another inch or so. Worked out really well. If it takes me having to add that little step to this procedure for A) ease and B) ease and C) ease...so be it.

Like the jack contact pictures, I was hoping someone would ask for them!!!
Being unemployed doesn't allow me a lot of cash to play with. He guy said I can use his equipment. Basically I'd just be buying the paint.

After a ride today I pulled back into the storage area and started breaking the tins down. I really need to get this done.

Thanks a lot for those pics. It looks like there is some twisting force on the jack structure from the bolts cantilevered off the side but it certainly seems to work.

I modified my jack yesterday and didn't notice the twisting. It seems stable, true its not the best design but it works well and sure beats the blocks. My sears jack is about 3 years old and its only been used a half dozen times, now it will get a lot more use.

The jack itself is not a high quality piece, for $120.00. It does get the job done though. This mod is meant for the guys who can't afford the $400 jacks that are available out there, me being one of them. The J&S is a very nice piece of equipment. Very sturdy. I can't knock it. I can't afford it either.

I have one that is almost identical from Harbour Frieght. I can't wait to get home to see if it can be modded the same way. It's likely that it can. Thanx for the tip and the video. That was really helpful.

Nope. If you're happy with it the way it is, that's awesome. I wasn't and tried something that ended up working great for me. I posted it for others to use or not use.
