Bought the sears jack over the weekend, and did the mod. What a great idea! Thanks to all who contributed!

I did mine using the added spacers 1.5" on the left and .5" on the right. Works Great! Approximately 21" wide ( I just stacked fender washers to get make the spacers)

Just finished modding my jack. I went with 1/2" spacing on each side, the whole thing was a piece of cake. Thanks for all the input, can't wait to use it in the spring

I bought a red Craftsman jack on craigslist for $50 and did the mod today, very easy. I haven't had a chance to try it on the bike yet, maybe next week when my new rims get here.

Definitely get the 7" bolts and four 1/2" spacers, they are worth the search

Ive been using my red jack for 3 years now and it works great. I still cant figure out why people spend more money on the JS or pitbull jacks

I agree I'll be switching to 1/2" on both sides myself!
