Take a look at your bike and you'll find a few plastic zip ties from the factory. They have their place and uses, and it's not like a splash guard is a weight bearing piece. I think all the zip ties I have are rated for at least 50#, but you can get them in different ratings.
When I first put the system on in February i was a bit concerned and c hecked the zip ties every time i went out to the bike before a ride. After several months and inspecting how they held with the up and down movement of the system i decided that they were more than sufficient. Once you have to take that splash guard off a few times to do other things on the bike you will enjoy the simplicity of the zip ties, at least I do.
You use Zip ties? as they say any job worth doing is worth doing right, don't cobble things together, they will haunt you later, take the time and do it right the first time, zip ties brake aftger time, last I checked Harleys still vibrate. I would thing a guy named Dr V-twin would do it right, Maybe duct tape would be better.
Use just one plastic zip tie around your wrists with your hands behind your back while sitting in the rear seat of a sedan and see how strong they are origsquig.G.

I purchased this platinum bleed feed system for my 06 Night Train. I'm trying to figure out what to do with the splash guard mounting. None of the holes line up with stock and I'm not really sure how to connect the top of the guard as it doesn't fit where the bracket piece is. The instructions are pretty poorly done, when someone spends this kind of money on an air ride system it seems to me that the instructions should be a good bit more detailed and the pieces should be lined up for a pretty much bolt on finish.

Wow. All I can say is that is unbelievable on their part. Drop that kind of coin on a system and all you get is insults when you ask a simple question?

LOL!!!! should have bought a "SHOTGUN" shock...lol
Spent a whole day trying to mount the compressor onto the bracket, this new larger compressor wasn't going to fit in there, so I sent Platinum and email and strangely I got a nicer response than WILLR612, they actually sent me some pictures to help with the install! Had to modify the bracket to make it fit. And Drew that splash guard is a PITA to install. Anyways just got wiring to do and hopefully everything works out. In the installation diagram it looks like there is a 30amp fuse before connecting to the battery, did anyone run a fuse?
There is a circuit breaker to take the place of a fuse. It comes with the kit. If you look at the instructions, at least the ones I got on the last page there is a picture of the bracket. There is a piece that you have to cut off of it so the head of the compressor will fit in. I guess i am going to have to rewrite the instructions myself so people can install it a bit easier. You can always contact me via email or call my cell at (310)266-0267.

No pictures, just a set of written instructions in my box. Okay I got the circuit breaker, what about the relay between the compressor and the valve.
Good idea though about making your own set of instructions, maybe pop it in the box when you sell them.

I just have to get off my but and do it. My bike is broke down at the shop so I can't run out look at it right now unfortunately. No, the air ride is not broken....
Wallah...
Would you be kind enough to pass those pictures my way for the compressor fitment. I was very surprised to get the response from the platinum. I guess I was a little too forward for them!
Thanks in advance.
P.S. still waiting on the slow boat from china for those bolts from Harley to get my bracket on!
