Shotguns VS Touring VS 422's VS Stock- SHOCKS
IMO our Heritage rides as good as the Touring bikes I've ridden. I/We ride 2 up 95% of the time.
So does a Softail with them ride even Better than a Touring bike.??
Thinking if so, Boy will that start a new WAR with them...
So far I've had the stock shocks on for 5yrs and I am/We're pleased with them.
Couple yrs ago I though about Progg 422's and now it seems like the new Flavor of the Yr is Shotgun's..
Thoughts, Opinions, Idea's?????? from all the different user's/owner of them
Let's hear them
I've riden stock, I've riden all the FL Touring models at one time or another, I own a 2002 Road King and have owned a 2010 Electroglide Ultra that I kept fo 6 months...and tonight, if I was going to get on a bike and head to the store or head out on a 900 mile run to Florida, I would get on my Heritage to do it...two up, solo, doesn't mater. With the Shotgun on it, we did 2000 miles over 8 days going to BB&B in Arkasas, the longest day was 406 miles, last 70 of that in the dark and the rain. The Heritage with the shotgun rides better and handles better than it ever has. And yes, I tried progressive at one time and went back to stock after one "blew" going down the highway at 85. It was an attention getter...
The Road King I won't ride across town now, and it really needs a new home...and this Heritage my great grand kids will find it under a trap in my barn long after I'm gone.
Heritage, hands down, best all around bike Harley has ever made. Strip it down and ride it solo, dress it back out and go for a weekend, ad a T-Bag or a tour-pac or trailer and head out for 7-21 days, it's a work horse that will eat miles in comfort, and lookgood doing it.
And yes, the shotgun as BETTER than ANYTHING you've read about it. My wife, who has a back problem will ride all day and be just as comfortable as in the Escalade...I didn't beleive it either until last weekend when she wanted to turn around and go back and get on the bike for a fast turn trip to San Antonio until I reminded her that the reason we were IN the Escalade in the FIRST place was we didn't have the hitch on the Heritage yet.
Want more detail, or to ask questions, please PM me.
Someone mentioned wanting to "upgrade" to a Road King...lol...PM me!
One other thing...yep, shotgun is pricey...and it's the LAST rear shock you will ever buy. No one else can say that, and once again, it's THAT nice of a ride.
