Default Oil leaking from Air Fittings

I have an 01 RK and when I disconnect my HD hand pump from the front air fitting on the right rear fender strut I get a shot of oil, leaking out.

My buddy has a 99 E glide and has the same issue only on the fitting for the rear, only on his the oil actualy streams out.

I cant imagine this is good, oil in the ail lines. Anyone know What's up.

Shocks are air over oil. My 01 does this as well. Just recently changed oil in mine from factory 5 wt to 10 wt. When I emptied them, the right shock was empty and left had about 5 oz's, which hold 10.2 oz's per shock. It now rides like a Cadillac with both of us on it. Everytime you add or subtract air, it loses a little oil, eventually using all of it on these earlier bikes. I used to check mine every time the wife rode behind me, or packed, on a trip. Now have it set so it is good with both of us and our gear and leave it alone.
