Default oil leak rear shock

Just saw small amount of oil on ground under rear shock, definetly coming from shock, but shock is holding steady air pressure. Is that possible ? Is the air chamber separate from the oil chamber ? Looks like it's time for new shocks.

Thanks Ron

Lift the rubber boot and see if oil is coming from there, rather than from the air valve at the top. If oil is there its probably a seal gone.

I don't think they are repairable (someone will say they are!!) but anytime, leak or not, is a good time to replace the standard rubbish shocks.

Oil is coming from the seal, not the air lines, just thought that it would lose air pressure also but that is not the case.

91257-463-013 is the part number for the ~$10 seal kit.

Harley claims the shocks are not rebuildable. The manufacturer of the shocks, Showa, disagrees, and sells replacement parts for them through Honda.
