OK here is a fm noise/lighting question, Has anybody here in this forum use the Socalmotogear hid lighting kits http://www.socalmotogear.com/Harley-...Kit-p/h1hk.htm days are getting shorter and I want more light. but I read in a few places it can and noise to FM? just looking at options right now thx for any input.
Looks Like I am going into this as the Guinea pig.
Yeah Smoke. . . If it's anything other than HU,speakers, amps, installation kits, Lids, fitment, pods and general troubleshooting stuff in regard to AUDIO you won't get many responses in this section. But guys put all kinds of lights on their bikes and I've not heard of anyone having an FM issue due to lights? But anything is possible.
I've seen and read many many times about HIDs causing FM interference. Personally I don't see the use in HID when LED is available, provides just as much if not more lighting, draws 1/10th the current and heat of HID, and doesn't cause interference.
HD Reflector and Daymaker
Truklite (said to be the manufacturer of the new HD Reflector lights)
JW Speaker Corp (manufactures the original HD Daymaker lights)
are among the tops sellers of LED lighting for HD bikes.
Lots of people getting rid of used HD LED lights in the classifieds sections because their new bikes already come with it.
