ordered the ss pn 2.350 d a 10awg amp install kit and a pac lc1 I hope to use for volume control, went with the 2 channel because im audio retarded and thinking the 2 channel might be easier to learn with, everything should be here in a few days, im reading everything I can here on installing it, but still thinking im gonna need some help
the speakers are some I already had, to be honest im not real sure what kind they are, if I remember right I think I took them out of a PA, I remember being fascinated by the sound quality of such a compact speaker, so I tucked these away thinking i'll find a use for them somewhere down the road, I got to thinking about doing this one day pulled them out of a closet, they looked like they'd fit in an aux light bucket, so I bought some buckets, test fitted and they fit, so I thought what the hell i'll give it a shot, if I doesn't work i'll buy 6.5's and bigger buckets, I plan on getting the cloth from cycle sounds to help weather proof them some, and im on the hunt for speaker grills now, I may blow these things as soon as I hook them up, I really have no idea, but I figure i'll to learn how to wire everything correctly if the speakers don't work out its just a matter of changing speakers and buckets
ok everything came today so here we go...... guys where do I want the hi lo pass set ? what do I set the cross over at ? and the remote wire goes from acc on bike to in or out on amp ? thanks again ( amp is ss pn2.350 speakers 4 ohm )
figured everything out, got it hooked up enough to test, still need to clean up my wires, get them out of the way and secure the amp in the bags, nervous about drilling a hole in them, but HOLY **** this thing rocks, I tried setting the gains by ear the way I've read to do on here, but it wont distort at any volume, so I turned volume to about 3/4 then started turning gain up, again no distortion, so I turned gain back down to where I felt comfortable, its just 2 4 inch speakers but I'm amazed at the sound, I think I may do a write up on this and take some pictures, if this holds up I can tell ya i'll be tickled pink
