I've got a 2014 SG. I'm planning on upgrading the audio with an amp, Magic Box, and Kicker CS67 speakers. I also have a set of vented lowers on order that will be here in about 6 weeks. I eventually plan on adding speakers to the lowers as well. (probably the same speakers) Would I be better served by going with the RF PBR300x2 amp or the 300x4, knowing that I will be adding 2 more speakers in a couple of months?

If you are going to add another set of kickers the X4 would be your best bet. The X2 is a more powerful amp at 2 ohms but the kickers are 4 ohm speakers. Even if you ran the X2 in parallel with the kickers you would still have only 75 watts to each speaker and I think the birth sheet on the X4 is a little higher than the advertised 75 watts. If you don't mind losing FM the Class D amps are another option.
That is what I thought. It will probably be a couple months before I add the lower speakers. IS the 300x4 with the two Kicker speakers still going to show me enough improvement over stock to do the install at one, or should I wait to install it until I get the lowers and speakers?

Yes Sir! Major improvement over stock. You will notice as soon as you turn the stereo on. Just hook up to the front channels for the fairing speakers and wait until you get the lowers to wire the back channel.
Alpine MRV-F300. I just discovered this past week that it won't fit in a 2013-prior batwing because of the height but I'm fairly certain it will fit in the 14 and up batwings.
Rosenburg as in Texas? If so, let's hook up and try it out.
Also I'd stay away from the Magic Box as well. Have the dealer flash the head unit to no amp 1 or 2 and 8 speakers.
found this also pertaining to the Magic Box so it's not just us "end users" seeing issues with this thing.
