I can't see where it could hurt. I guess it's a cheap and very easy thing to try. Let us know if ya do, cause I'm sure others would too if it helps the factory set up.

Forgive me, but im about to embark on a decent stereo upgrade for my 2013 SG. I want to get the best performance out of my equipment. And i start seeing posts about Polyfill...
-What is the major reason for the polyfill? does it just add some resistance? does it really make a sound difference?
-Do people generally really notice a difference in the sound?
-What does it do to the sound? Does it improve volume, mid range, bass?

Im very intrigued, Thanks for the info. :0)
I have an 11 ultra with the DD AW/AT set up. I ran the speakers with out the fill and few days later added the fill. Figured its 5 bucks and if it doesnt work, I can fill a pillow with it!
What I heard was a deeper fuller sound out of the speakers and less rattle in the fairing. I did notice a difference and for 5 bucks realized it was a little thing but, it did make a noticeable difference on the road.

I YouTube'd some Videos on it yesterday. Most Tech's are saying that it "makes the speaker think it's in a bigger box"
that at being said, and that people with fairing have claimed an improvement, and it's a few dollars, I guess I'll add that to my cart when I pick up all the new stereo gear.
Anybody have a "sweet spot" of how they installed the polyfill for a street glide with Kappas?

With the batwing fairing, it will tuck in loosely around the speaker and stay in place. I took my fairing off the other day to adjust my amp settings and it hadnt moved at all and I put close to 500 miles on it since I put it in.
